![]() I have tried to install the latest drivers for this SATA Controller but no luck in that (Latest Release was in 2013). I cannot change the mode of a single SATA port as there are no options for the controller on the bios, I actually have to re-flash the SATA controller to change modes. If I change to IDE mode, all of the 2 SATA ports will turn to IDE mode. The SATA controller runs at AHCI mode and I can convert to IDE mode to solve my problem, but I need hot swap enabled for another drive going to be attached to this controller. Now disabling the tray icon is not ideal for me as I also have an external usb HDD which can only be ejected through the "Safely Remove" tray icon. Now I do not want this to happen as I do not want to ever eject that drive ever. On Windows 10, the "Safely Remove" option is enabled on the drive as shown bellow: I have an internal HDD attached to a PCIE SATA controller with an Asmedia ASM1061 chip on it. I've been scratching my head for a while with this.
